University of Ghana has released its first batch of admissions following the release of the WASSCE results by the West African Examinations Council. Applicants can now check for their admission status online through

The admission list is the first of many which are yet to be released by the university, thus, applicants who do not find their names in this first list are encouraged to exercise patience, as there are more lists upcoming.
Those who find their names in the list should note that they have been given provisional admission and must therefore accept the offer by paying the required fees to secure their admission with the school.
To allow applicants to explore alternative programs they qualify for in the university, a self-placement system has been introduced by the university, and it allows applicants who were not admitted to their original program choices to choose other programs which they are eligible for.
Applicants and the general public have however been cautioned by the University of Ghana Computing Systems (UGCS), not to pay any money to any individual or groups who have promised to provide admission or accommodation. For any assistance or inquiry regarding admission, applicants must visit the appropriate offices.
