A District Court in the Ashanti Region has ordered the remand of two juveniles reportedly responsible for the death of a sixteen-year old boy.
The suspects of whom both are females, are aged sixteen and fifteen respectively. According to reports, the young boy was allegedly starbed by the sixteen-year old girl during an squabble. This occurred on November 4, 2024.
The Asokwa District Court is said to have charged the 16-year-old girl with murder and the infliction of injury on the deceased boy, whereas the second suspect has been charged with assistance in the murder.
Both suspects have been denied bail.
Speaking on the issue, brother of the deceased, Victor Owusu-Ansah expressed trust in the judicial system to deliver justice.
Meanwhile, the court has adjourned proceedings to November 20, 2024.
