Hackman Owusu-Agyemang, who used to be the Foreign Affairs Minister, wants people who steal from the country’s coffers to be punished harshly.
He thinks that people who don’t care about Ghana but only care about themselves can’t run the country.
I believe it is time for Ghanaians to understand that they are the only ones who can build this country and that their needs should come before all else.
“Those who have stolen from the country’s treasury without being caught should be punished.” Yes, and we can’t grow if we don’t set up that way of doing things. and the leaders need to show the way out,” he said in an interview on Asaase Radio in Accra.
Hackman Owusu-Agyemang said that the fact that no one cares about the country’s growth is a worrying sign.
“There is no longer a desire to serve the country or work for the government. I believe we have become too focused on our individual needs. I think that in due time, we should be able to find ourselves again…
He said, “I’m shocked by what’s going on right now.”
