Professor Ransford Gyampo, of the Political Science Department in the University of Ghana, has been named by President John Dramani Mahama, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority.
In an official letter issued by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President, Prof. Gyampo is appointed as the acting CEO of the Ghana Shippers Authority with immediate effect.
Professor Gyampo is a Founding Director of the Center for European Studies at the University of Ghana, as well as a visiting scholar at the Department of Government and International Relations in University of South Florida, and a visiting professor at the Institute of Advanced Studies at the University of Bristol.
He succeeds Kwesi Baffour Sarpong, who was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, during the administration of Former President Akuffo-Addo in 2024.
