David Boyd, who is known for the murder of seven-year-old Nikki Allan in 1992 has been imprisoned for over 29 years.
David Boyd took the life of young Nikki Allan in an abandoned building in Sunderland by hitting her head with a brick and stabbing her 37 times.
A series of investigations revealed that the DNA of David Boyd was a match for what was found on Nikki’s clothes in 2017.
David Boyd has a history of sex crimes. He confessed to a probation officer he had “dirty thoughts” and sexual fantasies about young girls.
David lured Nikki to follow him to the old building for “sexual purposes” where he hit her with a brick on her head which caused an injury to her skull. He then stabbed her chest repeatedly before disposing of her body in the basement.
The family of Nikki had been waiting for Justice to be served until finally the court found David Boyd guilty of murder at Newcastle Crown Court.
