The Presidency Communications has released a document revealing names of first batch of persons appointed for deputy minister roles.
This follows his appointment of substantive ministers in the past weeks.
In the new release, Popular Ghanaian actor turned politician, John Setor Dumelo, now the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency has been appointed the Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture.
Besides acting, John has positioned himself as a large scale farmer, cultivating different food crops and rearing animals. Though a first term in parliament, and one of the youngests, many tipped him for an appointment into the agricultural sector due to his accomplishment in his farming ambitions.
Others include, Justice Srem-Sai, hitherto a law lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Law (UGSoL), appointed as Deputy Minister for Justice and in effect, Deputy Attorney General, and Clement Abas Apaak, a ranking member of Parliament’s Education Committee, appointed as Deputy Minister for Education.
Their names appear amongst thirteen individuals appointed for deputy minister roles. Like the previous appointees, these newly appointed individuals will also undergo an approval process.
