Isaac Offei Baah, who is the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Ministry of Health, has asked morgue workers across the country to change their minds about going on strike.
He said that because the government is working on the issues they brought up, they need to come to the table for a talk right away.
He says that people have tried to get in touch with their leaders but have been unsuccessful.
“They should change their minds about going on strike. The problems they brought up are being fixed. We’ve done everything we could to get them to the table, but they won’t. What we’re doing to help them do better work will surprise them. He said on OKAY FM in Accra, “We are begging them to take back their decision and come to the table to talk.”
Getting started
The Mortuary Workers Association of Ghana (MOWAG) has given a warning that they will go on strike for good on November 29, 2023.
As of November 20, 2023, the group said in a statement that the action was necessary because all of the workers’ complaints had not been resolved.
