After a working visit to the 37 Military hospital, the Minister of Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has assured Ghanaians that the government is currently working hard to address and solve the critical and pressing problems that the hospital is facing.
The Minister was accompanied by the Chief of Defence Staff and Senior Officers from the Ministry of Defence during his visit.
According to Dr. Boamah, his visit to the hospital was part of one of his broad objectives to fully understand the challenges faced by the Ghana Armed Forces, to enable him implement tailored and cost-effective solutions.
The Minister also expressed that the challenges that the hospital is facing are numerous but manageable.
In his statement, he acknowledged the reason for his visit and the numerous challenges that the hospital faces.
“This working visit forms part of my deliberate intention to actively immerse myself into the challenges of the Ghana Armed Forces, in order to prescribe tailored and cost-effective solutions. The challenges are numerous but not insurmountable,” he stated.
He also emphasized on President Mahama’s commitment to ensuring that the most pressing issues and challenges which are affecting the hospital’s ability to provide quality healthcare services are urgently dealt with.
“Subsequent to my visit, the President John Dramani Mahama Government is making frantic efforts to fix some urgent and critical challenges that are vital for the delivery of quality healthcare at the hospital,” he said.
