Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, the MP for the Yendi constituency, has agreed to go by the name “Mr. Kumah,” which was given to him by his opponents. He says that the name means “a responsible landlord.”
I am Mr. Kumah, and I am who I say I am because he is a responsible landlord who has turned his neighborhood from one that wasn’t very developed to one that is.” Mr. Kumah didn’t leave his district, and because he has done good things in it, he has the most supporters. He told the press on Thursday, January 4, 2023, after being checked out.
“The delegates in the Yendi constituency trust me,” he said. He is also confident that he will be declared the winner by the end of the primaries on January 27, 2024.
“On January 27, 2024, I will be declared the winner. I will continue to do good things and help Yendi reach the dream that good people expect of me.” He showed optimism.
The Yendi MP said he would set up a meeting between his opponent and her supporters so that they could work with his team to keep the Yendi seat for the party in the 2024 election.
“Yendi is a calm place, and we will get everyone to work together to help the party in the constituency and keep the Yendi seat for the NPP.” He promised
He said that the huge projects he has led to improvements in health care, education, roads, infrastructure, water, agriculture, and other areas in the Yendi constituency will be the reason why he is kept on as the MP for that area.
Farouk Aliu Mahama said this when he was being screened as a candidate for parliament in Tamale. In the end, he got the most votes and won the election.
