Police in the Ashanti Region have launched an investigation into the alleged murder of a toddler by the landlord’s son.
According to reports, the suspect murdered the child following an altercation with the child’s father, who was a tenant in their home.
On Friday, May 5, 2023, the incident occurred in Adankwame, Atwima Nwabiagya North District, Ashanti Region.
The deceased’s father and sister, who are fighting for their lives at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, were also attacked with a machete by the suspect, who has been identified only as Emmanuel.
“My husband departed for work in the morning and returned between 4 and 5 p.m. in the evening. My son ran to greet his father with a warm embrace. My spouse was confronted by the machete-wielding son of our landlord around that time. He murdered both my son and spouse.
My daughter, who endeavored to save my son, was also attacked. We then were forced to flee. Three individuals have been transported to the Komfo Ankye Teaching Hospital. However, the one-year-and-four-month-old infant has passed away,” the infant’s mother, Janet Owusuwaa, told Citi News.
