Ondo State Court put a 32-year-old man named Daniel Udoh back in jail for sexually abusing and exploiting a 3-year-old girl. Udoh, who lives at No. 5, Alayere Community, Oda Road in Akure, was charged with one count of sexual abuse.
Officer Martins Olowofeso, who was in charge of the prosecution, told the court that the crimes were done by the suspect at 5 p.m. on June 12, 2023.
He said that Udoh used and abused the 3-year-old child (whose name was not given) sexually in his flat.
Olowofeso said that the defendant tricked the girl into going to his room, where he used her in an illegal way.
A man was caught after he raped a 3-year-old girl.
“The victim’s mother ran to the scene when she heard her daughter crying and saw the defendant touching the little girl inappropriately,” the prosecutor said.
The crime breaks Section 32(a) of the Child’s Rights Law of Ondo State, 2006, according to the investigator.
Olowofeso asked the court to keep the suspect in jail until the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) gives its legal advice.
Udoh, on the other hand, pleaded not guilty when the charges were read.
Folashade Aduroja, the Magistrate, sent the defendant back to the Olokuta correctional center until the case came up again.
