Nine children have been reported dead after a boat transporting them to school capsized.
According to reports, the school kids were said to be going from Faana through a river body to Kelee in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
Tv3 News reporter, Joseph Armstrong said on Thursday that they were between the ages of 8 and 15.
The bodies of eight of the children who were found earlier were taken to the morgue at the Korle Teaching Hospital.
The body of the ninth kid was found Thursday morning, after a lot of searching by worried youth.
The Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation,(NADMO), Christian Afiadenyo disclosed that three students made it out of the disaster alive.
He said that one of the students was in charge of the boat before the accident happened, but he is not sure about this.
Mr. Afiadenyo said the boy could have been one of the three people who made it out alive.
People say that since the event, the whole town has been in a state of grief.
