Gyakie, a tasty Ghanaian artist, was supposed to start her Europe and UK tour this month in Manchester, UK. However, the singer said today (May 18) that she would have to delay the tour because of health problems.
I’m doing everything I can to get better for my shows this week, but no matter how hard I try, I can’t fight myself. I hate having to postpone, but all tickets will be good for the new dates, which will be announced soon.
But I hope to be fit enough to see you at the events where I’ll be playing,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.
Gyakie was going to visit four cities to promote her new album, “My Diary,” which came out last summer. She was supposed to start her tour on May 19 at Gorilla in Manchester. From there, she would go to LaFayette in London, O2 Institute in Birmingham, and end on May 26 in Paris.
This month, Gyakie performed a medley at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, where she was nominated in five categories: Album/EP of the Year (for My Diary), Record of the Year (for Far Away), Best Afrobeats Song (for Something), Best Afrobeats/Afrobeats Act (for Something), and Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year (for Something). The award for Record of the Year went to her.
